February/March Newsletter

Villa Magdala, Hotel, B&B, Bath

It’s been wonderfully busy here at our Bath Bed and Breakfast over the past couple of months, some of us went exploring abroad but the rest of the staff made sure everything was running smoothly for our guests!

Bath is truly fantastic for getting people involved in activities, on the 3rd of March we saw the efforts of so many people (Including our daughter Poppy!), take part in the Bath Half Marathon 2013!  Everyone came down in their running gear and had a hearty breakfast before they ran the 13.1 mile traffic free course. The best part was seeing the smiley faces as they came back with their finisher medals! Billy was there ready to run but alas was distracted by a butcher on a side street, he also decided that he wouldn’t enter Crufts this year and give others a chance at grabbing gold; how very kind! He is planning however to take part in both next year after a *well deserved* break.

Our chef Will has been putting together some ideas for our new spring/summer breakfast menu and would like to ask our social feeds on Facebook and Twitter for any suggestions! Perhaps there was something abroad you tried on holiday that you’d like to see on the menu:)

We’ve been enjoying the bursts of sun that Bath has been getting now and again, it is so beautiful exploring and sitting in Henrietta park (opposite the B&B) with the slight bit of warmth fighting through the occasional cold wind. We can only hope that the spring weather turns quickly now and we all get more Vitamin D!

From the 13th to the 21st of April Bath in Fashion is taking place, a week long celebration of everything fashion. Here is our top three recommendations of events we think are going to be truly fabulous. (darhling)

1. A ‘Look Fabulous Lunch at Hall & Woodhouse Enjoy a two course lunch with a glass of wine, a glass of fizz on arrival plus Fabulous goodie bag at Hall & Woodhouse.

2. Spring/Summer 2013 Collections Headline catwalk show.

3. Secret Tea Party ‘The exclusive event, organised by vintage glamour girl, Mrs Stokes, treats you to an evening of fun and fizz, a ‘Best Dressed’ competition, a dance workshop and performance by professional dancers, what-to-wear style clinic, a glass of bubbly, scrumptious afternoon tea and optional makeovers (payable on the day).
